Q: What is Pemberton Whiteman & Hill’s legal recruitment protocol and candidate screening process?
A: We start with researching candidates. We assess the candidate’s interest and if there is synergy with the opportunity. Our candidate presentation stage varies by client. Most searches have urgency but it depends. We are able to expedite legal searches because we have a solid interview process, and excellent market intel. Our due diligence process helps us to understand a candidate’s background / capabilities, career aspirations and motivations for making a company or law firm change.
Q: Is the recruitment process confidential?
A: Yes. We approach each search with the utmost confidentiality. We do not put our clients’ names on job boards, anywhere on our site or social media.
Q: Who does Pemberton Whiteman & Hill usually recruit for?
A: With law firms, we typically recruit for AM Law (top 100) but we look at numerous factors including culture, market strength etc. Three important questions we like to ask are: 1) What characteristics does your law firm or company like to see in perspective attorney candidates? 2) What process does your firm have in place to recruit great talent? 3) Which practice areas (expertise) are ideal for your firm and add value to your clientele?
With controller positions, we prefer closely held American owned companies.
With I.T., we look at the specific opportunity.
